2008 Senior - Dave

Whew! Sorry it's been so quiet over here but I have had my share of 2008 seniors the past couple of weeks. Everyone's taking advantage of the last minute photo special and I have been editing a ton of Class of 2008 peeps. Here's one of my recent ones, and one I am especially excited about - my very own cousin Dave!

Check out that wingspan! Seriously it is insane. He's 6'6" and plays baseball AND basketball. This guy's a hot commodity.

Congrats, Dave! A little over a month to go! You can make it!! :)

Hold on to the little things...

Tony has never been there for the birth of his children because he has always been delpoyed... but this time, he got to be there to meet his new son, Marcos.

He's getting ready to go again on the 21st of the month... I am so glad he has had these few weeks to get to know his little guy.

Springtime at the park

I had the best time at the park with these three kids... we hung out, told jokes, and played. I sent mom away for a few minutes and we all just relaxed and I got a chance to know each one of them individually.

I learned about this guy's obsession with BMX biking...
Her love of all things Hannah Montana...

And her desire to marry a boy named Casey when she grows up :)

And of course... there was a little silliness,

a lot of smiles,

and a jumping contest!

Graduation day is approaching fast! If you haven't ordered your grad announcements or grad party invitations, now is the time! Squishable!

Wendi's little Baby C is just completely cute and squishable! And after having a herd of boys, the pink is definitely a welcome sight in her house. I loved doing this little session while they were in town!

This little sweetheart had the most incredible blue eyes! I photographed him as a newborn in January, and I can't believe how much he's grown in just a couple of months. He has so much personality and character!

Nearly there...

This is Elvis, the Wonder Dog. I love him. Especially the faces he was making during the photo shoot. He's making the face I am making right now, waiting for the website to update...

It looks like the main site will go live on Monday... but I have GREAT NEWS!!! the Senior site has been updated! Check it out at SPECKLED BIRD ART SENIORS and tell me what you think!

You take the good, you take the bad...

I have good news... the website update is COMPLETE!!

But there is a little bit of bad news... it seems my webhost isn't updating everything just yet. So even though it's all done, I have to sit tight and wait for the update to go through. And because it's Friday I am really REALLY hoping I don't have to wait until Monday or something like that.

So keep your fingers crossed... and keep refreshing that home page on my site. Hopefully before long it will be up there!! (I will post here as soon as we're officially LIVE)

Straight out of a magazine

There was just something about Saturday... the perfect, slightly overcast day, a hint of a breeze, and balmy weather. It just felt like this morning's photo shoot was going to be a good one, and I was so right. Kaya met me at the Academy and we clicked right away. She is so cute and fun and comfortable in front of the camera. Best of all, she was up for anything! It was one of those photo shoots where I couldn't take a bad photo. This one's my favorite:

Kaya made my job so easy... she was expressive and natural and funky and fun. I couldn't have asked for a better session!
She's got a great sense of style... I loved all her clothing choices!
Kaya, I albolutely loved every single moment of our session... even if we didn't find a laundromat! You helped remind me that I absolutely, truly love my job. Tennis anyone?

I won four tickets to the Tennis Channel Open on March 4th at 5:30 pm, but I can't use them. Anyone want to go or know someone who might??? First person to email me or call me gets the tickets! :)

Not much longer

Connie contacted me to do her maternity photos a couple weeks ago. She's due on March 14th, so I am totally excited that I will be doing her newborns in just a few more weeks!


As you can see, the newest member of the family will have lots of people to love him and care for him!
And of course there will be lots of snuggle time on the bed!
One thing that this little guy won't be seeing is mom in uniform... she is leaving the military to care for her family, so it was important for us to capture one last image of her in her uniform...

Senior Season

It was a beautiful but chilly morning... but Lilina and I still had a wonderful time taking her senior photos. She was so natural and relaxed in front of the camera, it made my job a breeze!

An asolutely lovely family on a beautiful (and chilly!) day...




I just love this last one... you can just see that she's a spitting image of her mama. I just loved the way the family connected with each other... they have such a wonderful relationship!
