Julie welcomes her new daughter

After rescheduling her induction a couple of times, Julie decided that she couldn't delay the inevitable any longer... and agreed to go into the hospital on the advice of her doctor. She was pretty nervous, and it took nearly all day for labor to finally kick into gear. Finally, at 8pm I got the call that she was 5cm so I headed to the hospital. On the way, I received another call - she was fully dilated and ready to have her baby!! I hightailed it to the hospital and arrived just before the doctor got there, and just in time to watch her baby being born.
She had a wonderful team of family and friends supporting her throughout the labor process...
and of course, the epidural made things a little easier, too!
Finally she was given the go-ahead to push...
And everyone was ready for the baby to arrive!
Another couple of pushes...

and her beautiful daughter was born, perfect and healthy!
Dad got to do the honors of cutting the cord...
and spending a little quality one-on-one time with his beautiful daughter.
(this translates to 7 pounds, 3 ounces)

Why hello, sweet little one!
Her first bath was in the sink of the hospital room...
And it looks like she loved it :)

Congratulations, Julie! She is absolutely beautiful and you did an amazing job!
